Miley Cyrus and others speak out for Japan Relief

By Celebrity Short Stories Inc. ©

Today, Japan’s nuclear facility began pumping highly radioactive water into a storage unit to be treated.  The power company had pumped less contaminated water into the ocean from April 4th to 10th, 2011 to make room for this more highly contaminated water.  Robots were also used to determine the radioactivity of several vessels on Sunday the 17th.  Slow pumping of water will continue for some time as the plant moves toward stabilization and ultimate shut down.

The power plant’s woes continue to overshadow the human devastation that accompanied the tsunami.  But companies and individuals are still keeping the Japanese people in their thoughts and actions.  Active-wear company, Under Armour, has created a limited edition T-Shirt for Japan Relief, with 100% of the profits going to the Red Cross Earthquake-Tsunami Relief Effort.

Miley Cyrus has also lent her voice to the Red Cross Japan Relief Effort.  She filmed a Public Service Announcement asking people to pledge 10 dollars to the Red Cross.
